Common questions

How long does a kitchen remodel take?

It depends on the scope, a cabinet and counter update moves much faster than a full gut renovation with layout changes. After we see your kitchen we give you a written schedule before work starts, and we stick to it. You will know the plan for every week of the project.

Do I need to move out during the remodel?

Almost never. We contain dust, protect floors and walkways, and keep as much of your home usable as we can. Many clients set up a temporary kitchen corner with the fridge and microwave while we work.

Can you build a kitchen island?

Yes. Islands are one of our favorite parts of the job, they combine cabinetry, counters, electrical coordination and finish carpentry in one piece. We help you size it so it fits the room and the way you move around it.

Do you handle the whole project or just the carpentry?

We run the whole remodel. Fornalski is a licensed general contractor with finish carpentry roots, so we manage the schedule and coordinate everything the project needs from demo to the final walkthrough.
